What inspired you to write your memoir?
My dictionary defines memoir as, used in pl: an account of something noteworthy. The following dedication taken from our book say’s it all.
My dictionary identifies memoir as: used as a pl: something noteworthy. Nothing is more noteworthy than singing the praises of a life of love and companionship than Dance On the Wild Side.
Jane Cheek: “Roland Cheek, you are the man who not only brought me to the dance, but taught me to see, understand, and unite for life. I love you.”
Roland Cheek say’s, “To Jane, the woman who allowed me to live wild and free. You’ll do to take home for dinner.”
About your Book:
Dance On the Wild Side is about any couple in love, with a few years behind them, who’re pursuing a dream as Jane and I have done. I wrote what I know.
Dance On the Wild Side is part true life adventure, part inspiration, and part blueprint for a life worth living.
A tale peppered with wild animals and untamed people, set against the backdrop of a magnificent American wilderness.
Sunbeams and rainbows rewarding a struggling couple who discovered a deepening love for life and each other.
It is never too late to simplify and never too old to seek adventure.
Love what you do, love why you do it, and learn to love who you do it to.
We discovered do what you love and contentment will follow.
What more could we need?
How did you decide how to publish your book and where is it published through:
After self-publishing in print format several years ago the books is cost prohibitive for some, KDP breaks that barrier allowing me, the publisher to lower the price and at times through KDP Select to even offer it free.
After the ebook reached #1 in Romance non-fiction and #97 in Best Seller non-fiction it was a no brainer that KDP Select was the only way to go.
How do you see writing a Memoir as different from writing other genres of books?
Perhaps you can enhance the script a bit but it is true facts that I have experienced daily for over 50 years.
When others tell you to write what you know Memoirs come easy, just write the facts.
