As I have lived in Ecuador for many years I am not the casual traveler passing through or a tourist recounting their travels. The book is born from a deep appreciation of the culture and its people.

What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Write from your heart and be true to yourself. Share the unique experiences you have had and make them exciting for other people. Keep at it and do not give up. Everyone has a book in them, something to share with the world.

Andrea Gardiner was born in Kent and educated at Headcorn Primary School, Underhill Preparatory School, Ashford School for Girls and Edinburgh Medical School. What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired to write my book by my years living and working as a doctor in Ecuador. I had such rich experiences and met so many inspiring people I wanted to share them with others. There is much to learn by living in a different culture and language and it opens your eyes to a different perspective on life.
