What inspired you to write your memoir?
Whenever I returned home from an Embassy assignment overseas, my friends were always interested to hear the latest stories. And so I thought there might be a broader audience for these true experiences.
About your Book:
I was a career diplomat, and served in our diplomatic missions in Singapore, Saigon, Athens, Budapest and Bordeaux. I also arranged trips for two Secretaries of State. Tis furnished rich material for my memoir, which is now the bestselling diplomatic memoir.
How did you decide how to publish your book and where is it published through:
I decided to self-publish the book on Amazon.
How do you see writing a Memoir as different from writing other genres of books?
Writing a memoir is harder, because foreign cities change and mutate. If you ae writing about the past in, say, a former Iron Curtain capital, the reality will have greatly changed when the memoir is written. Keeping the two realities in balance is more difficult than concentrating on just one.
