What inspired you to write your memoir?
I took a memoirs workshop. It was an assignment that changed my life.
About your Book:
It’s the story of my years as a typesetter/photocompositor before that occupation was taken over by desktop publishing. It includes how I had to switch careers in order to stay employed.
How did you decide how to publish your book and where is it published through:
I self-published on Amazon.com, and then recorded it for Audible.com. It’s available as an ebook (with a chapter of one of my novels included in the back) and as an audiobook.
How do you see writing a Memoir as different from writing other genres of books?
When I write fiction, I don’t have a plan. I get surprised by the characters and the story just like the readers would. With a memoir, the story is already written; it just needs to be written DOWN!
Author Bio:
I was in the printing and marketing fields for almost 15 years, working as a typesetter, editor, designer, and market researcher. Currently retired/disabled.
