Author Linda Campanella joins BookGoodies podcast host Deborah Carney to talk about books, writing and current projects.
Born in Longmeadow, Mass., and now a long-time resident of West Hartford, Conn., Linda Campanella is a management and planning consultant who assists nonprofit organizations of all sizes and missions identify and achieve their strategic goals. In previous stops along her career path she was a corporate executive in the aerospace industry, a senior administrator at a private college, and an international trade negotiator in the executive branch of the federal government.
She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Amherst College, where she majored in German, and she earned a master’s in international business from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Joe, and they have three grown sons.
When All That’s Left of Me Is Love, Linda’s first book, was written very soon after her terminally ill mother’s death in 2009 and was published in 2011. The memoir takes readers on an intimate and emotional journey from day of diagnosis through moment of death and into the few months of Linda’s being a motherless daughter. Although born of death and written by a grieving daughter, this book is uplifting and full of life, and it offers inspiring lessons for living fully and joyfully. Linda’s memoir has earned accolades and awards that include a gold medal in the Living Now 2012 Book Award program and a 2012 Nautilus Silver Award; the Nautilus book awards “are given to print books of exceptional merit that make a literary and heartfelt contribution to spiritual growth, conscious living, and positive social change as they stimulate the imagination and inspire the reader to new possibilities for a better world.”
